Terms & Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions are applicable to the October 2010 MD Conferences meeting.

1. Full registration fee plus accommodation deposit of $600 US per person required at time of initial registration to complete registration and secure cabin. Travel/cruise insurance is recommended.

2. Balance of final payment due July 30, 2010. Cancellation penalties for cabins are charged by the cruiseline for cancellations 65 days or less before sailing.

3. Accommodation bookings for the group cabins held by the Conference must be done through Marlin Travel (Sherway Gardens, Toronto). If making air travel arrangements independently, please ensure sufficient time to reach the port prior to cruiseship departure.

4. In the event a registrant is unable to attend the conference, substitution of registrants is permissible without any additional registration charge for attending the conference and receiving conference materials. However, registrant is responsible for any additional travel or accommodation change charges or penalties which may be levied by the airline, cruiseline, or other agency.

5. For refund of registration fees, if a registrant is unable to attend and unable to find a substitute, notification of cancellation should be sent to the MD Conferences in writing by mail, fax, or e-mail. For cancellations received prior to September 20, 2010, registrants have the option of (i) receiving a credit voucher for the full registration amount paid, redeemable towards any future MD Conferences meeting; or (ii) receiving a refund of registration fees paid less a $125 administrative charge. For cancellations received September 20, 2010, or later, no credit or refund will be issued.

6. While all efforts are made to ensure accurate and up-to-date information appears on the website, MD Conferences shall not be held responsible for errors which may occur. Please confirm all conditions at time of registration/booking.

7. MD Conferences reserves the right to make changes in the conference curriculum, conference presenters, or other elements of the program if this becomes necessary.

8. MD Conferences reserves the right to cancel the conference in the event of insufficient registrations, or other unavoidable circumstances. In the event of cancellation, all registration fees paid will be refunded. Under any circumstances, this shall be the maximum extent of the liability of MD Conferences.

9. MD Conferences is pleased to offer travel and accommodation arrangements for conferences, in collaboration with Marlin Travel. However, MD Conferences assumes no liability for any mishaps, inconveniences, or damages resulting from travel and/or accommodation issues. It is the responsibility of each traveller to ensure they have appropriate documentation and/or any other preparations required (including immunizations, health status, etc.) to permit travel.

10. Payment of registration fee and/or deposit shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of the terms and conditions of the conference.

11 . Information provided at registration will be used in accordance with the Conference's Privacy Policy.
